Whenever Summer break is over, it always mean it’s time for a new E-Sport season to begin. EA Games is part of this season beginning as their new FIFA game has now been released for over a month, launching yet another exciting year on the game. That’s the least we can expect from it anyway.
Since the game has arrived in everybody’s living room, the new EA Sports’ game has been showing a lot of weaknesses, weaknesses that both pro and casual players have been pointing out.
Our coach, BadWilliams, thinks that « Defense is just passive and the pass are going through way too easily, which almost automatically brings Tennis game results every time… »
For our player, Ottoman, « The game is really fun to play. But there are problem with the keepers being too weak and passes being too assisted… »
If nobody really agree on all the different aspects of the game, FIFA 18 is a huge source of debate recently on social medias and at EA Sports, engineers are working their best to resolve and patch those issues players are encountering. But despite all those reactions and debates about the gameplay, our coach put a real emphasize on the fact that whatever the content, the goal is still to win. In this state of mind, this year’s goal has become cristal clear : We have to attend most of the greatest competitions and try to get as far as we can in said competitions, and we’re talking about FIWC, the E-Ligue 1 or the Gamers Assembly.
And it’s regarding these competitions’ organisation that this early season has been more than difficult. Indeed, the players had to face a whole new system to qualify for the ESCW and attend the Paris Games Week’s competition, as it was pure luck and random that chose who would attend the qualifiers. Despite this aspect, it doesn’t stop our players to be very active on the field with some minor tournaments, like the 2v2 tournament organized by BeGame where our players Babadinho and Ottoman prevailed. The players’s motivation is now at its highest to perform in FUT champions.
At the end of the day, even if some efforts have to be made regarding how the game works and how it is managed on the E-Sport side, the game is still a banner for hours of Football, great scores, 0-0s, goals at the 94’ or magnificent moves. It’s not everyday a FIFA is source of discussions, but regardless, it’s time for competitions !
