When France was celebrating the national day, in Spain there was the Dreamhack Valencia.
BeGenius sent the good soldier Bastossavoie who went with many faith and bravery in an (always neutral) Swiss round with ten turns. With his mage Medivh, his chaman Evolve, his murloc paladin and his Malygos-Ysera druid (we ensure you he went with it!) as only weapon, the valourous Bastossavoie chained the matches on KOTH mode to show how lethal those weapon were. Now let’s have a view of his curse :
In the first round, he faced Birbilis and won 3-0 thanks to chaman. Second turn, against Xl3en is more difficult. He was losing 2-0 and started a remontada that Catalans know (even more when it’s about frechies) but, unfortunately, he was defeated 3-2 against the player that will be finalist 3 days after. Third round, he lost a second time 3-1. Then he had no choice that clear successes. He went back on the scene to win 3-0 on round 4 and 3-1 in round 5 and even better, 3-0 in round 6 in which paladin and chaman shown how efficient they can be.
In round 7 when losing 2-0 his mage must win 3-0. And with this kind of magic that he has, Bastos won 3-2 but it was close and he scared himself. He screeched round 8 to win 3-2. Another time he was losing on turn 9 on the score of 2-1. But a connexion failure without rematch made him lose the BO and any chance of being qualified. He will win the 10th and last match 3-2 against Theo HGG player from the netherlands.
Finally, he caught a beautiful 7-3 (third better french player in this tournament). Bastossavoie can proudly come back to France to tell us himself about what he did and strategies.
«When you build a line-up KOTH, you want that there would be no deck that could win 3-0 against you. I knew the ban would be on the mage. I was a little weak against pirate warrior (my mage defeat it anyway) and n’zoth paladin (even if chaman and druid were quite good match-ups for me). I took my opponents by surprise with the Malygos druid that won 4-1 in this tournament. I encourage you to try it in ladder if you want to try a new original deck. It’s a bit difficult to play but it is pretty sure.»
