After a successful participation at the Dremhack Tours BOYC, Jérôme ‘HeUkAlyPtuS’ Bassat’s players had to keep on scoring during online events, which was not really achieved to say the least.
Content : When they came back from the DreamHack Tours, victory in the pocket for a well fought LAN, our CSGO players had to confirm the great shape they showed with online results. However, despite a cheerful 5th rank at the ESL National Championship, the other competitions’ results (DH Valencia’s qualifications, Minor qualification,…) were very disappointing. That said, we don’t end our CSGO adventure based on rollercoasting results, we do it following our in game lead, Jérôme ‘HeUkAlyPtuS’ Bassat’s departure, and the other players’ choice not to play with Jason Jas_x’ Laurent.
Rémi ‘DaY’ Joubert, BeGenius Electronic Sport Club’s CEO, told us his feeling on the subject :
« Following the decision from HeUkA to leave the team and our other players’ decision to not play with Jas_x, we have decided to end our collaboration. At the beginning, we really wanted to be able to chose who would join our rosters. However, the recent modifications and the people who should have arrived weren’t choices we made. Despites very satisfying results from the team in tests sessions, leaving the CSGO scene was a decision i made myself, it’s a scene we’ve been on for years now and the results weren’t always there despite our big investments, human or financial. It’s time to have a break and keep on progressing on different games in Esport at higher levels.»
We wish the best of luck to our players and their project. One can say it is the end of an era, and that a new Genius has raised from the ashes.
